Yes. Even in normally “warmer” states like Florida, as an example, temperatures fluctuate a great amount from summer (90ºF +) to winter (30ºF +). In Southern California temperatures easily range from 100°F to below freezing depending on the time of year. Your pet’s metabolism, depending upon breed, will increase as the ambient temperature drops below about 78ºF. Try jumping in a swimming pool that is 70ºF and you’ll get an idea of “how high” the metabolic trigger is! Remember, your pet has a body temperature of around 101ºF, so as your area’s cooler weather Fall and Winter approachs, your pet can benefit from the higher levels of protein and fat that Seasons Natural® Cool Weather Blend™ provides. During the warmer months when pets are less active, our Warm Weather Blend™ formulas are easier on your pet's gastrointestinal and digestive system because of the managed protein level and lower fat.
• We offer three primary protein formulations to meet the needs of your unique pet. Chicken meal & Brown Rice, Lamb meal & Brown Rice, and a Multi Protein formula which is a blend of Chicken and Lamb 4 protein sources.
• Available in 30lb, 15lb and 5lb sizes.
• If you are currently feeding a Lamb or Chicken based diet, you may wish to convert to our corresponding formula. If your dog is particularly active, we recommend the Multi Protein blend.
• In all cases, our formulas include either FRESH de-boned Chicken or FRESH de-boned Lamb. These greatly enhance palatability and digestibility.
• All formulas help condition your pet’s skin and coat from the inside out with healthy Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.
• Additional Skin & Coat Conditioning: The Fish meal in the Chicken Meal and Lamb Meal formulas helps create a broader amino acid profile which is good for your pet because it contains high levels of beneficial Omega oils. The Multi Protein formula also has a broad amino acid profile because of the multiple sources of protein, so added Fish oil provides additional skin and coat conditioning. All formulas have vitamin E and flax seed which have been shown to encourage very healthy coats.
Beet pulp is a mixed fiber source that contains both fermentable fibers and non-fermentable fibers. Fermentable fibers are broken down by the bacteria in the large intestine. This encourages a healthy GI tract. Non-fermentable pass through the intestinal tract to assist in normalizing the stool. This combination helps reduce the incidence of diarrhea and flatulence while maintaining a proper level of stool production.
