Recyclable, repulpable, biodegradable, and compostable, Seasons Natural® pet food bags are almost as innovative as what we put inside them.
Designed to have the least environmental impact possible, our IntegraGuard™ Eco-Wise packaging has been engineered to protect both the Earth and our pet foods without compromising on our commitment to either.
Over 90% renewable and made from trees, our bags are a paper package with unique barrier properties that make traditional polyester or polypropylene liners unnecessary. The advanced strength of our bags and the earth-friendly moisture barrier keep food fresh for extended periods without creating difficult to recycle material that can harm the environment. These are the first earth-friendly paper packages to offer a true replacement for poly liners and play a key role in the Seasons Natural® Commitment to the Environment.
IntegraGuard™ Eco-Wise packaging is created from Sustainable Forestry Initiative® Certified Paper. This ensures that the trees used have been certified by independent auditors for compliance with the SFI chain of custody requirements. The SFI program helps ensure a stable supply of quality forest products from legal, responsible sources. Seasons Natural® strives to use no more material than is absolutely necessary when producing its packaging.
The inks used to print our paper packaging are always water or soy based to further lessen the impact on the environment. The minimal amount of adhesives used are starch-based and fully biodegradable. The exterior coating on our bags is VOC-free.
Please check that recycling facilities for this package are available in your area.
Our earth-friendly paper packaging provides an excellent barrier against moisture and grease without the use of poly lining. This patented approach not only protects the environment, but has resulted in a strong, waterborne polymer-coated barrier that keeps food fresher for long periods. IntegraGuard™ Eco-Wise packaging has proven stronger and denser than clay-coated and natural kraft paper.
Grain Sorghum is the third most important cereal crop grown in the United States and the fifth most important cereal crop grown in the world. The United States is the world's largest producer of grain sorghum. followed by India and Nigeria. Grain Sorghum is one of Nature’s great gifts to the world. Sorghum uses less water to grow, compared to other grains and is naturally bug resistant, so fewer chemicals are required. Sorghum / Milo have an excellent vegetable protein profile and are a highly digestible carbohydrate source. We use a blend of brown rice and sorghum to increase the amino acid profile and taste of our foods. Using Sorghum also takes some pressure off the rice demand for human foods, which also reduces water usage.
