Seasons Natural® Feeding Calculator

Seasons Natural® Pet Foods are formulated to accommodate your pet's metabolic energy requirements as they change during cooler and warmer periods. However, climate will vary from region to region with some areas receiving especially cool or warm weather. The calculators below will help you fine-tune the quantity of each blend to feed based on your regional weather. For general guidelines and the standard amount of food to feed, visit our basic Feeding Guidelines page. Protein, Fat and Calories

Seasons Natural® climate specific pet food blends adjust the amount of protein and fat according to pets' needs during Winter and Summer. Fall and Spring are temperate transitional seasons leading to the extreme seasons of Summer and Winter. Feed Cool Weather Blend™ in Fall and Winter to increase protein, fat and therefore calories. Feed Warm Weather Blend™ in Spring and Summer to reduce protein, fat and calories.

A Note About Pet Safety

All pets need adequate shelter from the elements. Please ensure the general comfort of your pet. Our formulas provide enhanced energy for cool weather and managed energy for warm weather, but are not substitutes for a safe, sheltered living environment. Adjusting Your Pet's Feed During Cool and Warm Weather Seasons Natural® blends not only adjust the calories delivered during the warm and cool seasons, but also adjust the protein and fat ratios to provide the best possible climate-specific nutrition for your pets. Regular pet foods do not, offering only flat-line nutrition regardless of weather.

At the start of each blend transition, feed the new blend by offering the recommended amount on the bag. This will establish a base line from which to monitor your pet’s weight. Your pet’s activity level can have an effect on how much food will be required to maintain a healthy body weight. If your pet increases in weight, you may trim back modestly. If your pet loses weight, he or she may have a higher metabolism and will need slightly more food.
